Foundational Package
Two hour on site assessment of housing, feed, water, minerals, probiotics, forage, parasites and predator pressure for all your backyard birds and beasts. Let’s look at the systems you have in place and see where we can improve efficiency and efficacy for the vibrant health of your homestead. I will help you identify the plants already growing onsite and give suggestions for the most useful herbs you can establish.
This package also includes:
~ a resource list PDF and hard copy to take notes on with all my recommended best holistic practices for vibrant health as well as links to my favorite places to buy feed, seeds, salts,supplements, books, herbal dewormers, support groups, tools and supplies.
~30 minute follow up zoom call to be scheduled within 1 month of initial onsite assessment. Let’s checkin and see how the implementation phase is going, how are your animals responding to changes in diet or lifestyle? Let me answer any questions that may have arisen or clarify information in your notes.

Flock starter package
You want to get chickens or ducks and don’t know where/how to begin? Let me guide you. Let’s look at where the ideal home for them would be and make some plans for your what your set up would look like. Do you already have a shed or barn that can be converted for them?
~ We will start with booking you for the Foundational Package where you will get the two hour onsite full assessment and additional resources. We will discuss what breed of birds will best suit your need/wants and the needs of your land. If you still want some feathered friends in your yard 1 month from this initial consult, you get the Foundational Package fee rolled into your flock starter.
This package also includes:
~ a second 2 hour design and planning session where we map out your coop and get clear on what this will take to build in terms of lumber and labor and who I know that can build it or look at pre fab coops that are being built in the area and discuss most practical designs for your use and yard.
~ 30 minute follow up zoom call to be scheduled within a month of planning session. This call will focus on your build implementation and flock integration.

BarnMidwifery package
So you have a pregnant goat, ewe or sow and don’t know how to help support her through till birthing. Are you worried that you wont know what to do if a baby gets stuck? Let me guide you through this whole wonderful process. On my farm I have a dozen years of lambing and kidding seasons and 3 seasons of farrowing kunekune piglets under my belt. Throughout the years I’ve seen many birthing difficulties and deficiencies and can help you give your mamas and babes the best chance at a healthy pregnancy, easy birth and vibrant infancy.
~We begin with the 2 hour onsite assessment and all that comes with the Foundational Package. I give a special focus on gestating sheep, goats, or pigs nutrition, and what they should be eating and how much in terms of feed, supplements and herbs for vital well being throughout preganancy . Its important to know when breeding occurred to accurately calculate due dates so as to best support you as the farmer.
~A 1 hour prenatal visits with emphasis on preparing your birthing kit, lambing, kidding or farrowing area and what to look for to know when labor begins. 1st prenatal early on in pregnancy if possible. 2nd prenatal visit about a week before due date.
~Birthing … up tp to 5 hours of my onsite time, making sure mama has delivered everyone and the afterbirth safely, that all babies are vital and nursing and have gotten a good start.
~A -1 hour post natal visits to check that mama is continuing to nurse all babies well and has enough of the right nutrients and herbs to support her body thriving through motherhood, and that all babies are getting enough milk and bonded well. 1st postnatal at 12 to 24 hours after birth.

MentorshipS
We host a single live-in mentorship each year for 10 months on our own family homestead, the human gestation cycle where each apprentice is born into the life of the farm.
I also offer a handful of satellite mentorships where folks live offsite and come hang with me on the homestead every week for a few hours and learn for their own current or future homestead.

Herd starter package

If you still want some four legged friends in your yard 1 month from this initial consult, you get the foundational package fee rolled into your herd starter.
This package also includes:
~ a second 2 hour design and planning session where we map out your barn site and get clear on what this will take to build or retrofit in terms of lumber and labor and who I know that can build it or look at pre fab shelters that are available and discuss most efficient designs for your site.
~ 30 minute follow up zoom call to be scheduled within a month of planning session. This call will focus on your build implementation and herd integration.

PHONE CONSULTS
Only offered to previous clients who have begun with the Foundational Package. Do you have some chicken questions or an animal issue to talk through and want one on one recommendations for how to approach naturallyt? We will create a game plan for holistic barnyard care of your bird or beast.

Hourly rate
If you have hired me for any of my other packages, then the lower tier is available to you. If you simply want to hire me for an hour to pick my brain, the higher tier is for you.
$150-200 client Rate - or- $250-300 new to you
SLIDING SCALE ~ for you to pay what you can. If you can afford to pay the higher end of my scale %10 of your fee will be put into a scholarship fund, prioritizing queer people of color.
